    Hi there!
I just wanted to say “Thanks” for following my blog and I’m looking forward to reading yours.

  5. Ah – you’re a golfer! Thanks for the follow. Surrounded as I am by one golf course and just up the road from Royal Birkdale you’d think I’d be a fan wouldn’t you? But I’ve mellowed since I’ve been here… I see ordinary folks out there having a good time, not wheeling and dealing. Perhaps they save that for the clubhouse? 😉 Very impressed by your scratch journey.

  6. jimjet says:

  7. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Never really got into golf but the Scottish versions is fun, play a hole-have a drink, play a hole- have a drink. Lol good luck!

  8. Scott Lambert says:

Continue the good progress toward your goal of scratch, learn to enjoy your game, don’t concentrate on the score – only focus on the shot you’re about to play. It will add up in the end to the score you are wanting to achieve.

  43. chitrader says:

I don’t know how you stumbled upon my blog, (thanks for the like, btw) but we’re kindred spirits, Matt. Golf is the greatest individual sport ever invented and I’ve had a desire and long-term goal of getting my game to scratch someday. Still holding out hope as I near age 60, but had my handicap index down to 1.8 for about 2 weeks many years ago and still think there’s an outside chance I can drop it down to zero by playing smarter and more consistently (and bringing my range swing onto the golf course!) 🙂

Got the putter back on track this season after years of enduring a brutal case of the yips, so maybe I can get the irons kicked up a level in 2015.

Good luck in your quest and I’ll check in from time to time to read about your trials and tribulations.

  44. Meeri says:

Thanks for finding my blog Matt! Your writings reflect a lot of humility, openness and sincerity and I am excited to read more. I don’t know much about golf but I am interested in learning about this passion of yours, and also reading about the personal growth you have been experiencing. All the Best!

  45. Brother Dave says:

I was a player in my teen years. At that time my father was still an active duty NCO which gave me access to several courses at no cost to me. It was not unusual to play two rounds everyday.

Although I do not have access to a course here on this island, I still can enjoy your posts.

    Keep swinging!

And thank you for liking my blog. https://hotfreight.wordpress.com/

I hope it will be a blessing to you and your followers. Fore!
